Specifications

W18A is a compact, 2-way biamped active system, with built-in 24 dB/oct. electronic cross-over and two separate control processors. It can be used alone or in multiple arrays to satisfy any need in short throw/wide coverage or long throw/narrow coverage in the widest range of applications, both indoor and outdoor.

Trapezoidal-shaped enclosures offer practical advantages in comparison to rectangular-shaped cabinets:
- sound coverage of a two- or more-speaker array remains constant and predictable within precise limits.
- interferences between enclosures in multiple-speaker arrays, usually originating comb-filtering effects, are reduced to a bare minimum, thus helping linearity in frequency response all over the covered area.

Components are custom designed to Montarbo specs:
- 18" woofer for the bass section
- 2" driver coupled to a constant directivity horn (90°H x 60°V).

2 built-in MosFet class AB power amplifiers.
Output power:
600 W continuous, 850 W peak for the low frequencies
250 W continuous, 350 W peak for the mid-high frequencies

2 independent dynamic processors.

High slope electronic crossover (24dB/octave, 800 Hz).

The rear panel is fitted with balanced XLR and Jack input connectors, balanced XLR and jack output (link) connectors, master volume control, mid-high level control and ground-lift switch.

The high grade phenyl-glued multiply birch is fitted with 2 side handles for transport.
