It’s a Snap
Building a powerful editing and mixing system has never been easier. MC Control and MC Mix units snap together and are designed to fit between keyboard and screen. Because each unit has its own Ethernet connection the units may be snapped side-by-side or placed anywhere – yes anywhere!

MC Control adds four faders and a host of control features to the MC Mix, including the ability to layout any combination of tracks onto the faders and save these as named layouts for easy recall (e.g. all drums and bass tracks together). This makes working with hundreds of tracks much simpler and is much more intuitive than banking faders.

If you already have an MC Control, then adding fader modules turns your MC Control into a fully fledged professional desktop mixing system…

Because of individual Ethernet connections you can lay out the modules to suit your mixing environment.

Sounds too good to be true, but the MC Control works with any application running on Mac OS X.

In its simplest form the MC Control’s 12 soft keys just below the touch-screen can be quickly programmed to send out keystroke commands for often used commands. Select the Soft Keys page and a further 24 on-screen soft keys are available. Use them for commands you use a lot but can never remember the keyboard shortcuts.

For each and every application you use, from Pro Tools to iTunes, the MC Control remembers your favorite soft keys which pop up as soon as the app is in focus.

 

MC Mix works with any application that supports EuCon, HUI or Mackie Control protocols.

MC Mix is designed for controlling parameters using the faders and rotary encoders so the application must be able to support external control.

 

EuCon, HUI, and Mackie Control Protocol Applications

Unlike other controllers the MC Control and MC Mix are intelligent thanks to EuCon and the MC Client application which seamlessly switches protocol to match the application.

MC Control and Mix connect to your Mac via EuCon, which also transports HUI and Mackie Control Protocol. This means that the faders, knobs and on-screen track keys all connect seamlessly to your DAW or video editor via high-speed Ethernet.

When a HUI application such as Pro Tools is in focus, for example, the MC Client application communicates with it using HUI. Switch to Logic Pro and the MC Client application switches to direct EuCon communication as Logic fully supports EuCon. Bring up Final Cut Pro and the MC Client application switches to Mackie Control protocol.
