Descrizione
The 4011-TL cardioid microphone is a new upgraded version of the classic DPA 4011 renowned in recording studios all over the world as an exceptional mic. State-of-the-art components have been carefully selected to provide optimal neutrality, accuracy and extremely low distortion.
The first order cardioid pick-up pattern gives superb separation between sound sources while spot-miking on every kind of live music. The mic is equally suitable for close-up work on acoustic guitar, grand piano, overheads, percussion, wind instruments and vocals. It can handle incredibly high sound levels and even includes a 20 dB pad switch to attenuate the output of the microphone.
A flat on axis frequency response and excellent phase response deliver a totally faithful reproduction of the original sound. The off-axis response is similarly smooth so that any leakage is an accurate reflection of the original, though attenuated according to the true first-order cardioid pick-up. The feeling of being there will always be more intense with the 4011-TL than with any other cardioid.
The Cardioid Microphone Type 4011 is one of the backbones in the Series 4000 Microphones.
After its release in 1989 the Type 4011 immediately won a TEC Award for technical excellence and quickly was among the standard inventory in recording studios all over the world.
The 4011 is a condenser microphone with a linear frequency response from 40Hz to 20kHz (±2dB), totally flat off-axis qualities, so any leakage that occurs from off-axis sound sources is still a faithful reproduction of these sounds, though attenuated according to the true first order cardioid pick-up pattern.
Type 4011 is phantom powered (P48), transformerless and has an extremely high SPL handling capability of 158dB SPL peak before clipping occurs. These special qualities have made the 4011 one of the most popular microphones in the recordist's toolbox and the span of applications is only limited by imagination of the user.
